[**Are there prerequisites for any of the standardized training courses?**](/content/training-old/standardized/#collapse-6/index.html) No. While there are no prerequisites for any of our courses, we highly recommend completing a learning and practice course. Individuals who have completed both types of training are more likely to have greater success when conducting an interview using the FETI Methodology. [**What is the difference between learning and practice-based training?**](/content/training-old/standardized/#collapse-7/index.html) Our training curriculums focus on attaining and enhancing the **skill** of interviewing and enhancing the proficiency of any skill requires **learning** (knowledge acquisition) and **practice** (skill building). Certified FETI offers multiple combinations of learning and practice (online, in-person and hybrid training courses) to best suit attendee needs. The Practical Application of FETI courses respect this skill building and provide a venue for practice with guidance and feedback. It is analogous to law enforcement going to the shooting range with an instructor. The Practical Application of FETI courses provide a foundation for developing the building blocks (and muscle memory) for modern, trauma-informed interviewing. [**Will I receive a certificate when I complete a training course?**](/content/training-old/standardized/#collapse-9/index.html) Yes, certificates are generated and can be downloaded/shared from your dashboard after course completion. [**What courses should I take to be successful with certification?**](/content/training-old/standardized/#collapse-10/index.html) While Basic and Intermediate certification can be attempted without any prior FETI learning or practice training, we highly recommend completing a learning course and a practice course to be successful. [**I’m not interested in being fully certified, is Certified FETI training right for me?**](/content/training-old/standardized/#collapse-11/index.html) Absolutely! Our standardized learning and practice training is beneficial for anyone wanting to become a successful, trauma-informed interviewer. Certification is NOT required. However, If individuals are interested in the distinction of being a Certified FETI Interviewer, we offer three levels of certification: Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced. While certification is not required, it does provide increased accountability, transparency, and an enhanced skillset for the interviewer. And as a bonus, Basic and Intermediate certifications are for life!
